House of Pearl Fashions (HOPFL), incorporated
in 1989, is an apparel company operating in the ready-to-wear segment. It
is engaged in activities such as manufacturing, marketing and
distribution, and sourcing of garments.
House of Pearl Fashions product offering includes various kinds of knits,
woven sweaters and bottoms in the men women and kids wear categories. It
also provides total supply chain solutions to its customers, which include
retailers in US and Europe. Some of the company`s clients include JC
Penny, GAP, WalMart, Esprit, Tesco and Banana Republic to name a few.
HOPFL has 10 manufacturing facilities, seven in India, two in Bangladesh
and one in Indonesia. The company`s major supplies come from third-party
vendors. It sources apparels from 150 third-party vendors from China,
Bangladesh and India.
HOPFL is a holding company and operates through its subsidiaries. It has
12 subsidiaries, directly and indirectly, that operate in US, UK, Hong
Kong, Indonesia and Bangladesh. Besides these, HOPFL operates in India
through its 60% subsidiary, Pearl Global.
House of Pearl Fashions entered the capital markets in January 2006
through an an initial public offering of 5.984 million equity shares of Rs
10 each in the price band of Rs 525 to Rs 600 per equity share. The
company is based at Gurgaon, India.
Multinational Textiles Group, Mauritius, a
wholly owned subsidiary of the company, entered into a share purchase
agreement for acquisition of 38% of ordinary shares of Nam Long Garment, a
joint stock company based in Vietnam.
Recently , Company`s group company, LERROS
Fashions India has received approval from Ministry of Commerce & Industry,
Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, for investment by LERROS
Moden, Germany, upto Rs 168 million.
